1362
The first known reference to Haikko Manor dates back to the year 1362. Thee Manor was then owned by the Dominican priory of Vyborg. Jöns Olofsson bought the manor later and it remained in the ownership of the Stenbock family for the next four hundred years.
1871
The Manor was purchased by General Sebastian von Etter who then became distinguished in the Turkish war. His family kept the Manor for almost a century. During the time of the von Etters, many members of the Russian imperial family and important representatives of the Finnish cultural life visited Haikko.
1917
After the outbreak of the Russian revolution Grand Duke Kiril Vladimirovits escaped to Finland with his wife and daughter. They settled down at Haikko and a son was born to the family in the same year. He was given the name Vladimir and christened at Haikko. He became the head of the Romanov family spread all over the world.
Among the distinguished guests was Albert Edelfelt, artist who spent 24 summers working in his studio close to Haikko Manor. He was greatly inspired by the beautiful archipelago and its inhabitants.
1913-1966
The present Manor House was built in 1913 and the original drawings are made by professor Armas Lindgren. Satu and Leo Vuoristo purchased the Manor House in 1965 and the Manor House was opened as the first manor hotel in Finland in 1966.
1974-2006
The Spa Hotel was built in 1974, the Conference Center was opened in 1983 and extended in 1989. Japanese-style Yorokobi pool department was opened in 1999 to provide spa services for adult taste.
2006 was Haikko's 40th anniversary in the ownership of the Wuoristo family.
2008-2009
Villa Haikko, a beautiful house by the sea for banquets and meetings, was opened in 2007. A versatile outdoor activity area Haikko Arena was built in the following year 2008.
Hotel rooms were renovated and 46 stylish Superior Rooms were completed in 2009.
2011
