Midsummer Eve flower crown course

Complete your Midsummer style and create your own Midsummer crown from wildflowers! In the wreath-making course, you will learn the basics of wreath binding and take home a beautiful wreath you made yourself for the Midsummer celebration.

Log sauna
The log sauna located on the shore of sea is open and freely available for guests during Midsummer from June 19th to 21st. You do not need a separate reservation for the log sauna. On Midsummer Day, June 20th, at 1 PM, you can, if you wish, make your own birch whisks under supervision – a perfect addition to an authentic sauna experience!
Please note that the sauna is a so-called unisex sauna.

Activities in Haikko
In the Haikko area, everyone who seeks activities in nature, exercise, and relaxed togetherness will feel at home. The maritime outdoor trails surrounding the manor grounds invite you for long walks and to breathe in the fresh air. From the nearby observation tower, stunning views open up over the Porvoo archipelago.
Move at your own pace by cycling, challenge your group in frisbee golf, or grab a padel racket. For more relaxed activities, you'll find walking poles, Mölkky, a dartboard, and pétanque, and indoors, board games await for shared moments. We rent out electric and regular bikes weather permitting. Ask for more information about rental equipment on site.
By Boat to Haikko's Midsummer
Arrive to celebrate Midsummer by sea and let the journey set the mood even before you arrive. The traditional M/S J.L. Runeberg ship transports you through the beautiful archipelago – the lapping waves, sea breeze, and summer landscape make the journey an experience in itself. You can disembark at Haikko's own pier. The return trip is also possible via the same route.
The ship operates on the route Helsinki–Haikko–Porvoo and Porvoo–Haikko–Helsinki during Midsummer. Read more and check the schedules and prices on J.L. Runeberg's website.
Do you believe in Midsummer magic?
According to a traditional belief, on Midsummer’s Night the bravest who jump over seven ditches will see their future lover in a dream. Do you believe in Midsummer magic?
1. The magic of seven flowers. Collect seven different flowers on Midsummer's Night and place them under your pillow. During the night, you will dream of your future love.
2. Fern flower. According to the legend, the fern flower blooms only on Midsummer's night. The person who finds the flower will gain luck and riches.
3. Source or lake water magic. Wash your face in natural water on Midsummer's night – it is believed to bring beauty and good luck.
4. Divination. Look in the mirror on Midsummer night by candlelight and you might see a glimpse of the future.
5. Burying magic. Put a flower wreath into the water on Midsummer's night. If it floats for a long time, the love will last.
