In honor of the summer exhibition at the Albert Edelfelt Museum and our collaboration, we have created a joyful "Joie de vivre" menu for our Manor restaurant. Warmly welcome to Ville Vallgren's world at Manor & Spa Hotel Haikko and Albert Edelfelt's Studio!
"Joie de vivre" on a plate – Ville Vallgren menu now at Haikko
Albert Edelfelt often had his dear friend, the lively sculptor Ville Vallgren (1855–1940), as a visitor to his exhibitions. These two artists had been friends since their childhood spent in Porvoo.
The friendship continued strong in Paris until Edelfelt's death in 1905. In December 2025, it will have been 170 years since Ville Vallgren's birth.
In honor of the exhibition, our head chef and team have created a Ville Vallgren menu inspired by the era.

You can get the tickets from the reception of Haikko Manor & Spa Hotel when you arrive for your stay. The exhibition is located just 700 meters away from the Manor.

Edelfelt's studio museum open from 7th May to 28th September 2025.
The studio showcases prints and photographs of Edelfelt's friends, models, and loved ones. The exhibition in the studio also tells about Edelfelt's family summer vacations in Haikko.
The exhibition at Villa Albert showcases sculptures by Ville Vallgren, art objects designed by him, paintings and sketches, as well as photographs from the collections of the Porvoo Museum. Works by Ville Vallgren come from, among others, the Orimattila Art Museum, the Ilmari and Toini Wall-Hakala Art Foundation, as well as from the Wallgren family and private collections. Paintings by Albert Edelfelt come from a private collection.
