The Albert Edelfelt Studio Museum area will be open from 7.5. 28.9.2025.
This summer, the museum will highlight the deep friendship between Albert Edelfelt and his close friend, the exuberant sculptor Ville Vallgren (1855–1940). These two artists shared a lifelong bond, which began in their childhood days in Porvoo and continued through their years in Paris until Edelfelt's death in 1905. December 2025 marks the 170th anniversary of Ville Vallgren’s birth.

Albert Edelfelt studio museum The studio exhibition features prints and photographs of Edelfelt’s friends, models, and loved ones. It also shares stories of the Edelfelt family's summer days in Haikko.
Villa Albert Villa Albert presents a collection of Ville Vallgren’s sculptures, art objects, paintings, sketches, and photographs from the Porvoo Museum collection. Works on display include pieces from the Ilmari and Toini Wall-Hakala Art Foundation (Orimattila Art Museum), the Vallgren family, and private collections. The exhibition also includes paintings by Albert Edelfelt from private collections.
In addition to Edelfelt and Vallgren, the exhibition showcases works by late Porvoo artists Thor Lindroos and Kimmo Warjonen. Living artists like Carin Bengts and Teija Kosenius are also represented, with works reflecting the exhibition's theme. In August, Teija Kosenius’s pieces will be replaced by works from Marit Björkbacka and Mikaela Wikström.
From 7.5.–28.9.2025, Lapland Hotels Club members staying at Haikko Manor or Spa Hotel will receive complimentary tickets to the Ville Vallgren exhibition.
Tickets can be collected from the reception upon check-in. The exhibition is conveniently located just 700 meters from the manor.
